Q.1.1 · Is Wirtualus Lite similar to ZOOM, Facetime, Skype, WeChat call, and Google meet?

A: Wirtualus lite release (0.9.x) shares some similarities with those virtual video meeting solutions e.g., ZOOM meetings and Google Meet, but is quite different; in the later officially released version, Wirtualus will be evolutionarily different with new VR features.

• Wirtualus lite is an early preliminary release version of the Wirtualus. It provides an ALL-IN-ONE virtual video meeting service in a better and faster way; for example, Wirtualus can make both p2p direct video calls like Skype as well as large business meetings like ZOOM.
• Wirtualus lite has better audio (HiFi ) and video (HD) quality than ZOOM with VP9 codec; it aims to replace ZOOM et al. virtual video meeting platforms for all online business meetings, seminars, training, personal hangouts, concerts, parties, performing events, and presentations.

Furthermore, Wirtualus has seven more advantages:

1. Wirtualus is more secure that ZOOM and Google Meet with End-to-end encryption. Your data remain encryption throughout all servers and transmission; more secure for business purpose;
2. No software needed to install; work anywhere on any devices; No software to install also means safer to your device;
3. Quick call feature to have immediate meetings; Zoom does not provide calling;
4. Scan QR, link joint, password joint, and getting called, more flexible ways for anyone to enter a meeting;
5. cheaper in price;
6. has a mirroring-video feature; suitable for all training applications;
7. will have VR avatar feature in 2023.

Q.1.2 · Is Wirtualus communication secure?

A: Yes. Wirtualus is a fully secure virtual video meeting communication platform. It supports end-to-end strong encryption in all calls/meetings. Wirtualus servers are located in California, USA. Currently, some clients from mainland China may not be fully supported due to China’s great firewall.

Q.1.3 · Am I required to have a Wirtualus account to use the services?

A: No. Wirtualus allows both unregistered and registered users to use its virtual video meeting services. However, only registered users can initialize a call, meeting, or event and use the advanced features.

Q.2.1 · How to use Wirtualus on a MAC or PC?

• Open the browser Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on PC or Chrome and Safari on mobile; Google Chrome is preferred
• Enter the URL https://wirtualus.com in the browser address box
• Allow all webcam and microphone devices access, as well as web notification permission
• Add the link in the bookmark bar for fast one-click access

Q.2.2 · How to use Wirtualus on a MOBILE?

General Method in a Mobile Device

• STEP 1: Go to URL https://wirtualus.com in a browser
• STEP 2: Select the browser’s menu to create a URL link icon on the Home Screen of the device (if you do not know how to do this step, please read on; otherwise, you are all set.)

iOS Devices (iPhones and iPads)

• Open browser Safari
• STEP 1: Enter the URL https://wirtualus.com in the browser address box
• STEP 2: Click the SHARE icon (arrow out a square) at the bottom center
• STEP 3: Scroll down and select the menu item called “Add to Home Screen”

Android Devices

• Open browser Chrome
• STEP 1: Enter the URL https://wirtualus.com in the browser address box
• STEP 2: Click the three dots at the top right corner of the browser
• STEP 3: Select the menu item called “Add to Home Screen”

If your Android home screen is locked, please unlock it first

• Long-pressing the home screen
• Then choose the Home Screen Settings with a gear icon
• Toggle Lock Home Screen Layout to OFF

Q.2.3 · How to receive Wirtualus virtual video meeting calls on an Android device?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen
• Make sure you have logged in to your Wirtualus account
• Wait until the other party calls you
• A web notification pops up with a sound if you stay on any one of the Wirtualus pages
• A push notification pops up with a sound if you are not on any one of the Wirtualus pages
• Click on the notification to pick up the call or join the meeting

Q.2.4 · How to receive Wirtualus virtual video meeting calls on an iOS device?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen
• Make sure you have logged in to your Wirtualus account and stay on any one of the Wirtualus pages
• Wait until the other party calls you, and a web notification pops up
• Click on the notification to pick up the call or join the meeting
• Please be noted that if you are not on a Wirtualus page, you may miss the call (sorry, this is for iOS only and will be improved soon)

Q.2.5 · How to call a group of friends using Wirtualus?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen and log in to your account
• On the homepage or main menu, click “Start Call/Event”
• Enter one or more friends’ usernames in the bar with comma/space/semi-comma separation
• Click the call button
• If none of your friends are currently logged in and available to join the call, you have the option to make an arranged call (a meeting) in the next five or more minutes.

Q.2.6 · How to schedule a meeting with a group of friends on Wirtualus?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen and log in
• On the homepage or main menu, click “Start Call/Event”
• Click the “Schedule Event” button to schedule a future meeting with them using wirtualus web conference video meeting software.

Q.2.6 · How to access the video filmstrip on a Mobile?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen and enter a meeting or call
• If the video filmstrip is hidden, as shown in the left screenshot, then double-click the arrow button to toggle it to show
• Double-click the arrow button again to hide the filmstrip

Q.2.7 · How to find an interesting event to join on Wirtualus?

• Open the Wirtualus app icon on the home screen and log in
• On the homepage, browse all the scheduled future events from all over the world
• If you do not see any and you are a recent new user, please skip to the next step
• Enter a keyword in the event search box, then click the search button
• Or select the Filtered by button to filter the event
• Select the event to join
